Spectacular 34th edition of Horse & Carriage
The 34th edition of Horse & Carriage was completed on Sunday 6th November with a spectacular four in-a-hand driving battle. The battle was won by Bram Chardon, the Swede Fredrik Persson and Herman ter Harmsel finished respectively at a second and third place. More than thirteen thousand visitors, from all over Europe, enjoyed the three days at this big driving event in the National Equestrian Centre in Ermelo, Holland.
The event successfully combined an educational and show program. At three different locations the visitors good attend several clinics, lectures, demonstrations and shows featuring international top drivers and trainers from the driving world. In total there were 13,250 visitors, from many European countries. Horse & Carriage is the only driving event showing hundreds of carriages, from antique to super-modern combined with the latest innovations.
Since the 34th edition the organization of Horse & Carriage is partner of the sports fund ‘Para Paard’. The foundation encourages and facilitates equestrian people with disabilities. It has been successful in making the equestrian sports more accessible to people with disabilities. The program paid a lot of attention to para driving, with the support of para-driver and ambassador Jacques Poppen.
